The Nike women’s Air Max 90 Exeter Edition ‘Aurora Green’ features a vibrant palette on a shoe named after the site of Nike’s first stateside manufacturing plant. Located in Exeter, New Hampshire, the facility collected leftover materials from local vendors to create sneakers in a unique blend of colors and materials. In keeping with that scrappy approach, the upper combines black textile with a white leather overlay and TPU eyelets in turquoise and lavender. The former hue is repeated on the split mudguard, the latter hue on the rubberized heel patch. Under the heel, white speckling is applied to a black midsole wedge that reveals a red-tinged Max Air unit. A neon green finish is applied to a translucent rubber outsole made in part with Nike Grind.
